Clear Strategies. Strong Stories. Funded Futures.

I work with farmers, agricultural businesses, not-for-profits, and community groups.

I can help you reach your customers, find funding sources, and optimise your online presence. All of this goes to telling your story.

My experience means I don’t just write - I know what’s worth saying, and how best to say it.

  • Securing funding is competitive, time-consuming, and often complex.

A grant writer can improve your chances of success by bringing strategic insight, ensuring compliance, and presenting your project in a clear, compelling way. We also save you time.

I translate your ideas into strong, funder-aligned proposals that balance clarity, evidence, and impact to position your application competitively.

    Grant writing can include:

    • Grant matching

    • Written proposal

    • Financial and technical documents

    • Requirements management

    • Submission

    • Post-submission debrief

Scope and deliverables are tailored to the size, complexity, and requirements of each grant.

  • Turn your achievements into a compelling, award-winning submission.

My awards writing service uncovers the impact behind your work, shapes a clear story, and aligns it with the judging criteria for your category.

From initial nomination through to final polish, I take a structured, detail-driven approach to ensure your submission is strategic, cohesive, and positioned to stand out.

    Service includes:

    • Award category and criteria analysis

    • Narrative development and drafting

    • Evidence and impact articulation

    • Editing, refinement, and final review

I also offer an editing service if you have written your own submission and want it reviewed before submitting.

  • Professional business documents that strengthen proposals, secure funding, and communicate with confidence.

Business documents are essential for most grant applications to help you establish credibility and demonstrate preparedness.

I help businesses create clear, well-structured documents, including but not limited to:

    • Business continuity plans

    • Drought management strategies

    • Project proposals

    • Reports

    • Policies

Let’s get your governance in order.

A bit about me

You don’t need more words. You need the right ones - clear, distinct, and actionable.

That’s where I come in.

I’ve spent years learning what works (and what doesn’t). I’ve worked with global organisations for over 15 years, which means I’ve seen it all - big ideas, tight deadlines, shifting scope, and everything in between.

I’ve led content teams and driven digital projects across technology, travel and accommodation, sport and recreation, government, insurance, workplace health and safety, education and training, and more.

I live in the Scenic Rim (QLD) and am passionate about working with rural and regional businesses - helping them tell their stories, reach wider audiences, and get in front of funders.

When I’m not working, I ride my two ex-racehorses, tend to my small herd of goats, and try to grow my own food.

FAQs

What does a grant writer do?

1

As a grant writer, I help rural and agricultural businesses identify funding opportunities and prepare strong, compliant applications. This includes writing the application, aligning it with funding criteria, developing supporting documents, and clearly presenting the project’s value and impact to improve the chances of success. Preparing an application requires close consultation with you, but I do the heavy lifting, letting you focus on your business.

How does a professional writer increase my chances of funding?

2

A professional grant writer improves your chances by ensuring your application is well-structured, aligned with eligibility criteria, and supported by strong evidence and outcomes. It also helps communicate your project in a way that meets the expectations of government and private funding bodies. A lot of grants get rejected because the case simply wasn’t clear enough, not because it didn’t have merit.

What type of rural businesses do you work with?

3

I work with businesses of all sizes, from non-profit groups to primary producers. I tailor my services to your goals, capacity, and needs, whether you’re a small family-run operation or a growing regional enterprise.

6

What types of business documents do you write?

4

I have a particular passion for governance after decades of working in roles that required heavy documentation and accountability. I believe that if you don’t have something documented, it doesn’t exist. Document needs vary depending on what your business is, but there’s not much I can’t write for you. The most important thing to remember is that for a successful grant application, you often need to include things like strategic plans, project plans, resourcing documents, risk management, and more.

You might need some policies documented for your employees, or roles and responsibilities, health and safety policies etc. Nothing is too big or too small.

Do you use AI?

I do not use AI to write anything I produce for my clients. I am a professional writer with over 20 years of experience creating personalised, human content that makes businesses stand out from the crowd. A lot of businesses are using AI to create their content (which is fine), but it is easy to pick out because it is generic and doesn’t reflect the personality of the business.
